Tim Park is the manager at Ōtari Wilton’s Bush, a native botanic garden and forest reserve in Wellington. He was formerly the Environment Partnership Leader for Wellington City Council prior to his current role. Tim previously worked at Greater Wellington Regional Council supporting the protection and restoration of coastal ecosystems, wetlands and lowland forest remnants . Tim is an avid plant ecologist dedicated to Te Taiao.

This includes lots of web based material that is easily accessible and designed to reduce barriers to best practice coastal restoration by local communities and professionals like. Our planting calculator, reference database, handbook, monitoring all feature as well as other useful online resources.
Tim will show you how to set up an account in iNaturalist, how to record an observation out in the field and also cover how to identify a species and setting up a project area ie your restoration site so you can track and display observations.
